What to expect

Counselling &
Psychotherapy

I offer online and face-to-face counselling for individuals aged 16 and over, allowing you to choose the format that feels most comfortable for you.

Sessions are usually weekly, with fortnightly appointments available where possible. Counselling may be short-term (typically 6–12 sessions) or longer-term/open-ended, with regular reviews to ensure it continues to meet your needs.

01

Free 15-minute consultation

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, and you may have questions about how therapy works or whether counselling is right for you.

I offer a free 15-minute consultation where we can briefly discuss what has brought you to counselling, what you are looking for from therapy, and any questions you may have about the process.

This is an opportunity for you to get a feel for how I work and to decide whether you would like to take the next step.

02

Initial assessment

If you decide that you would like to continue, I will arrange a 50-minute initial assessment.

This gives us more time to talk about what you would like support with, your current circumstances and what you hope to gain from counselling. It also gives us an opportunity to begin thinking together about how we might work therapeutically.

Following the initial assessment, we can discuss how you would like to continue with regular counselling sessions.

03

Online or face-to-face?

Online sessions can offer flexibility and allow you to access counselling from a private space that feels comfortable for you.

If you prefer to meet in person, face-to-face sessions provide dedicated time and space away from your everyday environment to focus on yourself and what you would like to explore. I can offer face to face sessions in Leicester City Centre or Sileby.

We can discuss your preference during your initial contact.
